Kyndryl, a US-based IT infrastructure service provider, is integrating Palo Alto Networks’ AI security software into its secure access service edge (SASE) offer. This collaboration aims to provide businesses with a comprehensive cloud-delivered network and security service. Kyndryl’s enhanced network architecture focuses on zero-trust principles and a cloud-first approach, allowing it to move from traditional on-premise systems to a more modern network framework.
This development promises stricter control over user authentication, enabling secure access to applications, edge, and IoT technologies. By transitioning from 54 data centers to a unified service, Kyndryl has managed to support its global workforce efficiently, lowering operational IT expenses in the process. According to its research, Kyndryl highlighted that nearly half of the world’s critical business technology is outdated, with many organizations underprepared for future risks.
Kyndryl’s strategy includes a suite of services, such as network security assessments, project designs for network modernization, infrastructure management, and SD-WAN integration. This comprehensive approach aids organizations in upgrading their IT infrastructure and boosting cybersecurity measures.
Paul Savill from Kyndryl emphasizes the need for IT infrastructure modernization to mitigate risks. “As AI becomes a key focus, our new SASE services, combining with Palo Alto Networks’ Prisma SASE solution, will enable businesses to transform securely,” he stated.
The partnership also provides consultancy services to assess and suggest improvements in network security for enterprises. It involves designing and implementing network modernization projects. Additionally, it offers infrastructure management to maintain cloud-based network frameworks, aiming to simplify complex IT environments.
Kristy Friedrichs from Palo Alto Networks adds, “Implementing a SASE approach is a significant transformation for organizations, especially with the need to scale rapidly amid a growing threat landscape. Offering joint customers a complete AI-powered SASE solution through Prisma SASE and Kyndryl’s services, meets this demand efficiently.”
