London-based Reality Games, the gaming studio behind Monopoly World, has successfully closed a €4.3 million Seed round to accelerate the development of its real-world Monopoly experience, powered by big data, AI, and geolocation technology.
The funding comes from a combination of angel investors and strategic backers, including epublic angel investors, Polish venture firm Unfold VC, and Swiss private equity firm Acquinox.
This funding marks a significant milestone in bringing the Monopoly brand into the hands of 4 billion mobile players worldwide, transforming how they interact with real-world properties and digital assets.
“This €4.3 million Seed round paves the way for Reality Games’ upcoming Series A, as we hope to reimagine Monopoly not just as a game but as a platform connecting players to real-world retail offers and experiences,” said Zbigniew Woznowski, CEO and Founder of Reality Games.
Founded in 2015, Reality Games is a leader in location-based gaming, with over 30 million+ downloads across its portfolio. With offices in London and Krakow, the company is on a mission to gamify the real world through mobile retail experiences.
With the backing of Hasbro and its 99% global brand recognition, Reality Games is poised to innovate mobile gaming with an immersive location-based strategy experience.
Monopoly World reinvents the classic board game by blending it with real-world property ownership, AI-driven valuation, and interactive gameplay. Players can buy, sell, and trade over 100 million real-world locations.
The game introduces a ‘walk-to-earn’ mechanic, encouraging exploration while rewarding players with in-game currency that unlocks brand promotions, loyalty rewards, and real-world benefits.
With this funding, Reality Games aims to accelerate launch of Monopoly World to new global markets, following successful launch in Poland and Philippines; scale up product development and AI solutions; and expand partnerships with global brands.
