Amrita Hospital Faridabad Provides Free Medical Care at Maha Kumbh Mela 2025


In a remarkable display of cultural unity and dedication to public health, Amrita Hospital Faridabad flagged off a fleet of advanced medical vehicles to Prayagraj to provide seamless healthcare services during the Kumbh Mela 2025. The initiative reflects the hospital’s ethos of serving humanity by ensuring accessible and quality medical care during one of India’s largest spiritual gatherings.

The ceremonial flag-off event was graced by Shri Rajesh Nagar, Rajesh Nagar is Minister of Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs Government of Haryana, and Swami Nijamritananda Puri, Administrative Director of Amrita Hospital Faridabad, alongside senior hospital leadership and other distinguished dignitaries. The initiative, inspired by the vision of the Mata Amritanandamayi Math, emphasizes a spirit of service and cultural harmony, connecting the traditions of Southern and Northern India.

The fully equipped medical team will operate round-the-clock from January 13 to February 26, 2025, offering free medical consultations, treatments, and medicines valued at ₹50 lakh. The medical convoy includes a state-of-the-art mobile healthcare van, a dedicated D-level ambulance with critical care capabilities, and a temporary hospital set up in Prayagraj with 10 inpatient beds.

The initiative is supported by a 60-member team of specialist doctors, nurses, and paramedics from Amrita Hospital, joined by volunteers from the Mata Amritanandamayi Math and the youth organization ‘Ayudh’.

    • Minor operation theatre convertible to a labor room.
    • Diagnostic capabilities, including ultrasound, ECHO, X-ray, and automated laboratory services.
    • Emergency facilities, including ECG, pulmonary function tests (PFT), and resuscitation equipment.

·         Mobile Mammography Unit:

    • Advanced mammography, ECG monitoring, and consultation chambers.

·         I-Lab Van:

    • Fully automated lab for hematology, biochemistry, and routine sample collections.

·         CCU Ambulance:

    • Equipped with defibrillators, ventilators, and emergency medical oxygen supplies.

  • Inpatient Services: 34 beds for routine and emergency cases.
