Google Rolls Out New Updates for Demand Gen Campaigns


Google has launched a new newsletter-type update specifically for Demand Gen campaign changes, in order to help marketers make the most of the latest tools and features for their YouTube promotions.

Which could be worth keeping tabs on to ensure that you’re across all of the latest ad tools at your disposal.

As explained by Google:

YouTube is consistently delivering industry-leading results for marketers, bolstered by the strength of AI-powered performance solutions like Demand Gen. In the past year alone, Demand Gen has seen a 26% increase in conversions per dollar driven by 60+ AI-powered improvements to ramp time, bidding and other updates you may not have heard about. That’s why we’re introducing Demand Gen Drops: a monthly showcase to help you stay on top of what’s new in Demand Gen and drive results on YouTube.”

The new monthly update will cover all of the latest YouTube ad changes, to keep you across the latest.

Of course, Social Media Today covers all of these as well, so you probably don’t need it, though there are a couple of new updates in its first Demand Gen Drop.

The first is an update to Conversion Lift, with Conversion Lift now working at lower spend levels and conversion volume.

So now, you can get more insight into your campaign performance, with less data to go on, though of course, the accuracy of such will be relative to the data you enter. So fewer reference points means less reflective results.

Google’s also provided an update on its Omni-Channel Smart Bidding for Store Conversions, which enables you to optimize for store visits by using the same bid strategies used for online conversions.

There’s also an overview of its new reporting columns in Google Ads, which provide more context as to how Demand Gen campaigns perform compared to your paid social efforts (which we covered here), local offers on YouTube (which we covered here), and special occasion assets.
