Kuku FM, India’s leading storytelling platform for audio & video stories plans to support indigenous AI led research in India by tapping into India’s vast network of engineering schools and tech talent with an annual event called Project K.ai.
Kuku FM currently leverages AI at every step of its production process from plot development, script writing, thumbnail generation to final production alongside human led intervention to create high quality premium stories for its customers. Kuku FM leverages open source and proprietary large language models for the same which are trained on its platform data to assist it in creating newer stories and plots.
In order to further push the boundaries of innovation to create newer AI models, algorithms and research which can assist Kuku FM across the domains of text generation, video generation, audio generation and more, Kuku FM will assist aspiring engineering talents across Indian institutions to create tailor made solutions around AI.
This annual initiative will open doors for engineering students across India’s leading engineering colleges such as IIT’s, BITS, NIT’s and more to solve AI led challenges around fundamental problems faced by Large Language Models. Kuku FM aims to provide the students with free credits and access to various AI tools, its own database of trained data, mentorship by industry experts including founders and VC’s, internships, grants and a chance to deploy AI research into large scale solutions for customers.
The first edition of this initiative saw participation from over 30+ engineering colleges in India, thousands of registrations and hundreds of AI led solutions developed. The top 3 winners selected from India’s leading colleges were awarded with cash prizes, a chance to deploy their solutions with millions of customers and mentorship to further advance their research in generative AI and related fields.
Talking about the initiative, Jhoomer Sinha, VP, India Hindi Business, Kuku FM, said “India has a wealth of tech talent that remains massively undertapped. As a business that leverages AI extensively day in and out, we are opening up our resources and expertise to upcoming tech talent from any college in India. Our tech talent is already powering innovation across leading companies in the world but there still remains a gap when it comes to supporting such talent in India. By tapping into the network of undergraduate students in India we want to build an ecosystem of talent that is already primed and ready for an AI first world in the coming years. We will support this talent with grants, mentorship and most importantly provide access to solving real world problems with AI.”
