We’re pleased to announce that Lora Jakobsen, Chief Sustainability Officer at ZeroNorth, will join us at the EU-Startups Summit 2025 in Malta on April 24-25!
Lora is a founding member of ZeroNorth, a company located in Copenhagen and founded in 2020 that has since grown from a six-person startup to a 600-person scale-up focused on transforming global trade while maintaining profitability. The company has raised €49.6 million in a series B investment round to advance its mission of using technology and data-driven insights to support decarbonisation in the maritime sector.
At the EU-Startups Summit, Lora will deliver a keynote titled “From Silicon Valley to sustainability scale-up: How mindset fuels impact and why scaling sustainability requires an unconventional approach.” She will discuss the challenges and milestones of scaling with purpose, the role of technology and collaboration, and how businesses can balance innovation with long-term impact.
Beyond her work at ZeroNorth, Lora is involved in industry-wide sustainability initiatives, including the Global Maritime Forum’s Operational Efficiency Working Group and the Getting to Zero Coalition. She also chairs the EnergyLeap Vessel Emissions Reporting Standard and hosts the Navigating Zero podcast.
Join us in Malta to hear from Lora and other speakers at the EU-Startups Summit 2025. Secure your ticket today and stay tuned for more announcements and event highlights on our event page!
