In recognition of his pioneering contributions to India’s geospatial sector and his leadership in founding MapmyIndia — the country’s leading location and deep-tech company — Mr. Rakesh Verma, Co-Founder and Chairman & Managing Director, MapmyIndia, has been conferred the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award at the 16th Geospatial World Forum, held in Madrid, Spain. The award was presented by His Excellency Dinesh K. Patnaik, Indian Ambassador to Kingdom of Spain.
Organized by the Geospatial World Forum (GWF) — the premier global platform for geospatial thought leadership and innovation — the award celebrates Mr. Verma’s instrumental role in establishing indigenous digital mapping capabilities in India and taking Geo-tech to the global stage.
