In celebration of the assumed birthday of Satoshi Nakamoto, the elusive creator of Bitcoin, Mudrex, a leading crypto investment platform, launched a unique on-ground campaign to honour his legacy and spark meaningful conversations around Bitcoin and crypto.
Inspired by the iconic statue of Satoshi in Hungary, Mudrex brought a lookalike to the streets of Bengaluru. Dressed in a hoodie with a golden mask—mirroring the Hungarian statue that symbolises Satoshi’s anonymity—the lookalike walked through crowded city spots, catching the attention of onlookers. To celebrate the occasion, the platform also distributed Bitcoin-themed cupcakes Bitcoin Creatorto the crowd. People paused to ask questions, take photos, and learn more about the man behind the world’s first cryptocurrency. Nearly 50% of people who approached recognised Satoshi, and the rest were keen to learn about him and his impact, a strong indicator of the growing awareness and interest in the crypto ecosystem.
“Satoshi Nakamoto’s true identity may be unknown, but his impact is undeniable. Bitcoin has come a long way, and today, we celebrate the man behind it in a fun, engaging, and educational manner,” said Pranjal Agarwal, India Market Head, Mudrex. ““At Mudrex, we believe that awareness is the first step toward adoption. While the identity of Satoshi remains a mystery, the impact of his vision is very real and continues to impact the global financial system”.
The campaign will be amplified through various social media channels with #SatoshiSpotted to reach a wider audience and spark discussions about Bitcoin’s journey and its future. By blending education with engagement, Mudrex aims to make crypto more accessible and mainstream, fostering a deeper understanding of its significance.
