NetIX, a company under the Neterra Group, is accelerating its global reach by extending its services to Telehouse London Docklands. Through this endeavor, the company establishes a primary point-of-presence (PoP) at the Telehouse North data center, marking a significant milestone in their growth strategy.
Previously, NetIX relied on partners to connect to Telehouse North. Now, with the data center fully integrated into its network, service delivery times have drastically improved. What once took up to four weeks now takes less than four days. This speed is crucial, especially as the platform’s traffic has skyrocketed from 3Tbps to over 4Tbps in a short time.
The strategic move grants NetIX clients at the Telehouse North PoP access to over 50 Internet Exchanges worldwide. This connectivity simplifies the process for CDNs, ISPs, wholesale customers, and enterprises, making cross-continental links more affordable, robust, and faster.
The initiative not only links to NetIX’s parent firm’s global network but also connects numerous small Eastern European networks, including those in Ukraine, to a broader ecosystem.
Dean Belev, VP of Connectivity Services at NetIX, noted the significance of Telehouse London Docklands. “We have a massive European network and have experienced monumental traffic growth,” he stated. The new PoP will expedite NetIX’s continental expansion, allowing them to upgrade customer service without third-party provider delays. Telehouse is renowned in the UK and boasts a global footprint, offering a strategic advantage with the new PoP.
Will Scott, Vice President of sales at Telehouse Europe, expressed pride in the strengthened collaboration with NetIX. He emphasized that Telehouse North PoP enhances the NetIX platform within Europe’s premier connectivity hub. The partnership supports NetIX’s expansion goals, ensuring efficient and resilient network growth through swift, direct global connections.
