Powering the New Era of Software-Defined Vehicles with Keysight at ATE 2024

The automotive industry is rapidly evolving, marked by advancements in software complexity, vehicle-to-everything (V2X) communication, and electric vehicle (EV) technologies. By 2030, an estimated 4.2 million cars will be autonomous, and over 60% of all cars sold globally will be electric. To spearhead innovations in software-defined vehicles (SDVs), companies need a partner that offers innovative, secure, and comprehensive testing solutions.

This June, join Keysight at the Automotive Testing Expo Europe 2024 (ATE) in Stuttgart as our technical experts showcase the latest design, emulation, and testing solutions to accelerate software-defined vehicle innovations.

Key Innovations to watch at ATE 2024

Accelerate EV charging infrastructure deployment

Discover our Scienlab Charging Discovery System (CDS), a modular and upgradeable solution for testing charging interfaces during high-power charging — up to 1,500 V DC and ±600 A DC. It can emulate charging communication and conduct tests on electrical parameters to ensure conformance and interoperability compliance. With its automated testing capabilities and pre-programmed test cases, this innovative solution enables faster and more efficient deployment of EV charging infrastructures.

Streamline mmWave radar testing

Radars based on a frequency modulated continuous waveform (FMCW) are integral to SDV applications, which operate in the frequency ranges of 24 GHz, 77 GHz, and 79 GHz. Automotive engineers face various testing challenges, including complex test setups, the need for ultra-wideband mmWave measurements, signal-to-noise (SNR) loss, and compliance with evolving industry standards.

To overcome these challenges, we will demonstrate Keysight’s automotive radar transmission (Tx), reception (Rx), and interference testing solutions and how they accelerate the robust analysis of automotive radar signals across full frequency ranges.

Test vehicle-to-everything (V2X) comprehensively

Comprehensive testing from labs to the field is paramount to ensuring robust vehicle-to-everything (V2X) communications. Keysight’s V2X testing solutions simulate complex V2X test models, perform hardware-in-the-loop and road tests, and evaluate models rigorously in the field. Additionally, our WaveBee toolchain, with the UXM-5G platform, can help streamline V2X integration and testing processes and speed up compliance and interoperability validation across an intelligent transport system (ITS) environment.

Test in-vehicle network (IVN), memory, and SerDes

Whether you aim to verify OSI layers 1–7, ensure OVN signal integrity, or fortify network security, our robust in-vehicle network test solutions have you covered.

At ATE, Keysight experts will demonstrate our full-suite IVN solutions to test waveform, linearity, and jitter for high-speed transmit compliance of 10GBASE-T1. Our demonstrations will feature advanced oscilloscopes like MXR for low bandwidth and UXR for high bandwidth measurements and network-attached storage protocol solutions (NAS) for enhanced security, timing, and network integrity.

Enhance automotive cybersecurity

Keysight’s comprehensive automotive cybersecurity solution covers from the hardware level through all layers of the open systems interconnection (OSI) stack for in-vehicle interfaces, including Wi-Fi, cellular, Bluetooth, CAN, and automotive Ethernet to validate the robustness of electronic control unit (ECU) and telematic control unit (TCU) subcomponents or the entire vehicle.
