Paris is the epicenter of more than this summer’s Olympic frenzy; next month, the city will play host to the 27th annual European Microwave Week (EuMW). This year’s theme, “Waves Connecting Europe,” underscores how central microwave wireless technologies have become, with numerous tracks, sessions, and presentations geared toward exploring current and future possibilities.
Keysight is a platinum sponsor of EuMW 2024. We’ll be on hand at booth 301L, detailing how our solutions position companies at the forefront of microwave innovation, enabling them to quickly address design, emulation, and test challenges in radio frequency and millimeter-wave.
Our conference presence includes:
Product News, Demonstrations and More
We’ll be introducing new products at EuMW 2024 and showcasing a range of microwave-related technologies, including:
- Non-terrestrial Networks (NTN) In this demo, we’ll generate signals simulating a virtual satellite flyover with arbitrary orbital parameters and real-life radio link conditions. In addition, various NTN test scenarios, including orbit modeling as described in 3GPP TR38.811, will be showcased.
- Wideband Active Load-Pull (WALP) This will showcase Keysight’s new WALP capability using a dual-channel VXG-C vector source and a PNA-X network analyzer. This provides the error vector magnitude performance of a power amplifier when presented with arbitrary frequency-dependent load impedances created without an impedance tuner. This is essential for designing power amplifiers used in phased-array antenna systems, where load match changes as a function of beam angle.
- Signal Source Characterization Keysight’s new E5058A 54 GHz SSA-X signal source analyzer features best-in-class phase noise measurement sensitivity and other measurement capabilities, including absolute and residual noise, transient, spectrum analysis, network analysis, and voltage-controlled oscillators (VCO) characterization. This demo shows how to perform sub-THz phase noise measurements with the SSA-X and an E5051AW downconverter for 6G applications and other microwave measurements.
Make sure to check out these and other demos, and keep an eye out for the product news we’ll be unveiling at the show!
Delegate Address
On September 24th, I’ll be giving a welcome address to conference delegates. Since our inception almost a decade ago, Keysight has played a pivotal role in accelerating microwave technology, giving us a unique insight into the industry’s rapid evolution. I’ll explore the impact of these wireless innovations, which are revolutionizing how people, devices, and systems sense, communicate and react. Along with sharing my perspective on the opportunities—and challenges—that lie ahead. I’m honored to be kicking off the 2024 event and if you’ll be in Paris, I hope to see you there!
Connect with Keysight Experts
Throughout the conference, the Keysight team will be participating in workshops, including:
- Challenges and Design Considerations for Characterizing sub-THz and 6G Communication Links (Sunday, September 22, room 733/734)
Keysight’s Jean-Pierre Teyssier will chair, with Suren Singh, Greg Jue, and Say Phommakesone among the speakers.
- The 6G Forum (Thursday, September 26, room EO3)
Keysight’s Nizar Messaoudi will discuss channel measurements and modeling for 6G applications and spectrum .
Check out the EuMW Conference Program for more on these and other sessions. We’d love the opportunity to explore all things microwave with you. EuMW is an opportune time to get inspired about the possibilities the future holds.
We look forward to connecting with you in Paris!
