Sparkle Launches Quantum-Safe VPN on AWS Marketplace


In a significant step forward in cybersecurity and data transmission, Sparkle has introduced its “Quantum Safe over Internet” (QSI) solution to the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Marketplace. This innovation, which was initially launched through Sparkle’s sales channels, is poised to enhance the security of sensitive data against emerging threats posed by quantum computing.

QSI is designed to establish secure VPN connectivity between customer sites and cloud providers. It ensures that data is protected from quantum threats, which could potentially break traditional encryption methods. The solution operates seamlessly with existing infrastructure, leveraging advanced encryption technologies for optimal performance.

One of the most remarkable features of this service is its cloud-native, Network as a Service (NaaS) foundation. Customers can manage the service flexibly through a dedicated portal or API, allowing for automated, agile operations without sacrificing security. This approach highlights Sparkle’s commitment to simplicity and efficiency.

The effectiveness of QSI was evidenced through a Proof-of-Concept (PoC) involving two AWS regions, Frankfurt and Ireland. This project, in conjunction with AWS and technology partners, successfully demonstrated secure, quantum-safe VPN tunnels between the regions, maintaining encryption integrity and performance.

The deployment of QSI represents Sparkle’s proactive stance in countering the impending challenges posed by advances in quantum computing. These threats require innovative responses as traditional encryption methods may soon become obsolete.
