Stockholm-based Ivy Interactive has raised €917k in a pre-Seed funding round led by Swedish venture capital firm Luminar Ventures to enable developers to ship tools faster and with better long-term maintainability.
“Ivy tackles the AI anxiety that many companies and tech departments are grappling with, about how to leverage AI to become more efficient and empower employees. With Ivy, a skilled developer can become significantly more effective and lead the AI revolution within their organisation. It’s not a no-code product meant to replace developers but one that creates synergies,” says Niels Bosma, Co-founder and CEO of Ivy Interactive.
Founded in 2025 by Niels Bosma, previously of Offerta and Tessin, and Renco Smeding, the founder of 21-Draw, Ivy Interactive benefits from a solid mix of technical expertise and go-to-market acumen. The two Co-founders have collaborated for years and bring a shared vision of empowering software teams through smart automation.
This startup is building an AI-powered platform that allows developers to rapidly create custom internal tools such as CRMs and CMSs – tools often built slowly or not at all due to resource bottlenecks.
Ivy’s pitch is straightforward: equip developers with an AI-enhanced toolkit that can streamline the development of business-critical applications in “hours or days, instead of months“.
The platform is not designed to replace developers, but to enhance their speed and flexibility – an approach that seeks to move away from the limitations of traditional SaaS solutions.
By using AI to write production-grade code that integrates directly into a company’s existing infrastructure, Ivy aims to remove the need for expensive external services or sluggish in-house builds.
The pre-Seed capital will support Ivy’s continued development and expansion ahead of its public launch, planned for this summer. With early users already in line, the startup intends to ramp up hiring to scale both its product and market reach quickly.
“Ivy impresses not only with its technology but, above all, with Niels and Renco’s experience as serial entrepreneurs. Their vision to automate internal systems with AI is bold and innovative. Ivy enables rapid development and smart customisation of back-office solutions, boosting efficiency and unleashing developers’ potential. We strongly believe in the team and are proud to be on board from the start,” says Jacob Key at Luminar Ventures.
Ivy joins a growing cohort of AI-first companies in Stockholm aiming to reshape how software teams operate, especially within large or fast-moving businesses where internal systems are often neglected.
