TikTok announced a new partnership with fan connection app Cameo, which will enable TikTok creators to monetize custom videos within the app.

The integration will bring Cameo’s video message request process into TikTok, making it easier for TikTok creators to charge for custom content.
Given the rising popularity of TikTok creators, this could provide a valuable link between the two platforms.
As explained by TikTok: “TikTok creators are among the fastest-growing talent segments on Cameo, using the site to transform fan engagement into meaningful revenue streams. With this partnership, TikTok is streamlining the process for fans requesting Cameo videos.”
The integration will make it easier for TikTok creators to sign up to Cameo and begin charging for custom video clips. It will also enable creators to add customized call-to-action buttons to their TikTok content, making it easy for TikTok viewers to request personalized Cameo videos without leaving the app.
TikTok will also make it easier for users to find creators who are on Cameo, via a custom listing of creators who’ve signed up for the app. That list will be available when a TikTok user searches for “Cameo” in-stream.
Cameo has seen a big rise in social media stars signing up to the app since it opened up its CameoX onboarding process to more creators in late 2024. By reducing the barriers to entry, Cameo allowed more people to charge for custom clips as part of a broader effort to spark interest in the app. According to TechCrunch, Cameo has seen a significant decline in usage in recent years.
This new integration may see many more TikTok stars signing up and further increasing Cameo’s client base, which could help both TikTok creators and Cameo make more money. It might also help TikTok keep its top creators posting by providing them with another monetization pathway.
