YouTube’s expanding access to its Premium Lite option, which reduces the amount of ads users see in the app, while it’s also announced updates to Community Posts, and new filters for playlists.
First off, on Premium Lite, YouTube’s cheaper Premium option that reduces overall ad load in the app.
Originally launched in limited testing last year, YouTube expanded access to YouTube Lite to more regions back in March.
And now, it’s bringing the option to even more regions:
“Premium Lite is now expanding to viewers in Turkey, Poland, France, Romania, Spain, Italy, Taiwan, Singapore, Chile and Colombia! We’re slowly rolling this out over the next couple days, so viewers in these countries may not see it yet.”
As noted, Premium Lite offers a cheaper way to reduce the amount of ads that you see in the app.

So you will still see some ads, but not as many, which could be worth the monthly investment to some users.
YouTube says that Premium Lite will be expanding to even more regions over time, providing the same option for more users.
On another front, YouTube’s also launching a new “post shelf” on channel pages, which will make it easier for viewers to discover posts.

As you can see in this example, now, channel visitors will be shown a display of Community Posts from a page, which could help to enhance connection, and entice more subscribers.
“For creators who have at least two posts, the shelf will automatically appear on the channel page, and can be adjusted or turned off via the “Customization” tab in YouTube Studio.”
Community Posts can be a good driver of subscriber engagement, and expanded connection, providing more context and insight to your fans.
YouTube also recently added the ability to like Community Posts, adding another social-like engagement element.
“Just look for the heart icon at the bottom of the viewer post on your community.”
YouTube’s also added new filters for playlists, while it’s also expanding access to its product stickers in Shorts.
Some handy updates to enhance the YouTube experience, while also helping to boost its subscription intake.
