Pioneering Innovation with Connected Intelligence

The countdown is on! We’re less than a week away from the world’s largest and most influential mobile and telecommunications event – the Mobile World Congress 2025 (MWC25) in Barcelona. Did you know that MWC attracts over 100,000 attendees from more than 200 countries each year? It’s like the Olympics of the tech world!

I remember the first time I attended MWC like it was yesterday. The excitement of seeing the latest gadgets, the buzz of innovation in the air, and the thrill of meeting tech enthusiasts was unforgettable. It was just like stepping into a glimpse of the future – as if I had walked straight into Tony Stark’s lab in Iron Man. The cutting-edge technology and visionary ideas on display were nothing short of awe-inspiring.

From March 3-6, you can find us in Hall 5, booth #5F41, where we’ll be showcasing our latest innovations in wireless technology. This year, we’re set to empower the wireless future with artificial intelligence (AI), secure devices and networks, achieve breakthroughs in 5G-Advanced, and propel 6G research.

As we can’t wait to share more about our innovative solutions and how we can help you succeed, this blog is to give you a quick glimpse of what to expect!

Empower the Wireless Future with AI

AI is transforming our daily routines in remarkable ways. From smart home devices that automate chores to AI-powered personal assistants managing our schedules, AI is making our lives more convenient and efficient. Imagine your coffee maker starting to brew as soon as your alarm goes off?

AI is revolutionizing the wireless industry in several impactful ways. It’s transforming the industry by optimizing network performance, predicting and managing traffic loads, and reducing latency for seamless user experiences. AI-powered predictive analytics enhance network reliability through proactive maintenance, while AI-driven chatbots and virtual assistants improve customer service with personalized support. Additionally, AI enhances network security by detecting and mitigating threats in real-time and enables innovative applications like real-time edge computing and predictive IoT solutions, driving the next wave of technological advancements in the wireless sector.

At MWC25, Keysight Technologies will showcase several exciting AI-driven innovations:

  • AI-Powered Device Test: Featuring the Atlas Test Management Center, this demo highlights a new automation platform for device acceptance testing. The platform leverages AI to optimize execution time through smart reordering, delegate preparation tasks to the tool, and predict and manage trade-offs under time constraints.
  • AI/ML Channel Estimation: This demo presents a novel receiver with an ML-based channel estimator for the uplink data channel. This approach significantly enhances throughput performance, increases system capacity, and reduces RU power consumption. By leveraging AI, it processes wireless channel data across the joint frequency-temporal-spatial domain, applying AI in real-world scenarios created with Keysight’s Channel Studio solution.
  • AI-RAN Orchestration: This demo will highlight the potential of AI-RAN orchestration to transform traditional RAN systems into intelligent, adaptive networks that meet the evolving needs of modern telecommunications. Keysight’s Open RAN Architect (KORA) solutions not only enable users to validate AI and RAN coexistence but also provide a comprehensive framework for benchmarking performance and gaining insights into energy consumption across various O-RAN traffic models and AI / ML service usage profiles.

These demos highlight how Keysight is leveraging AI to push the boundaries of wireless technology, helping to achieve breakthroughs in 5G-Advanced and pioneer 6G research.

Secure Devices and Networks

Did you know that the first-ever computer virus, called “Creeper”, was created in the early 1970s as an experiment? It displayed the message, “I’m the creeper, catch me if you can!” on infected machines. While it was harmless, it highlighted the need for cybersecurity, which has become increasingly important in today’s wireless world.

Security of devices and networks in the wireless industry is crucial due to the increasing reliance on wireless technology for communication and data transfer. Wireless networks, by their nature, transmit data through the air, making them more susceptible to interception and unauthorized access compared to wired networks. This vulnerability necessitates robust security measures to protect sensitive information and maintain the integrity of the network.

  • Device Security Defense: Keysight’s embedded security testbench is designed to analyze device cybersecurity defense mechanisms and test hardware attacks that hackers might use to break into products. This includes testing security vulnerabilities in devices with mixed-signal chips on a PCB development board, ensuring that connected devices meet the necessary security certifications for market access.
  • O-RAN and Core Testing: Keysight will showcase its solutions for Cloud-Native ORAN and Mobile Core, for optimizing Cloud RAN energy efficiency, validating 5G network security, and proving RIC readiness with large-scale performance testing.
  • Secure and Fast Networks: Keysight will demonstrate how its security solutions can analyze device cybersecurity defense mechanisms, in both hardware and software, detect vulnerabilities, and run penetration tests and fuzzing attacks. Additionally, we’ll showcase how user and application behaviors can be emulated across various network topologies to identify and resolve performance and security issues.

Achieve Breakthroughs in 5G-Advanced

Kudos for making it this far! Now, let’s get to the exciting world of 5G Advanced, also known as 5.5G. This next evolutionary step in 5G technology brings significant enhancements in performance, capabilities, and efficiency. It’s like upgrading from a sports car to a supercar – faster, more powerful, and incredibly reliable. It builds on the foundation of 5G by introducing new features and improvements that support higher bandwidth, lower latency, and greater reliability. 5G Advanced is set to push the boundaries of wireless technology, enabling a wider range of advanced applications and providing a truly immersive user experience. It represents a significant step forward in the evolution of wireless networks, paving the way for the eventual transition to 6G.

  • Non-Terrestrial Networks (NTN): Discover how Keysight’s NTN design and modeling tools can create and visualize 3D satellite constellations from any location on Earth. Preview simulated KPIs and seamlessly load the modeled scenario into Keysight’s UXM 5G network emulator. Additionally, Keysight will demonstrate how to optimize connectivity in industrial private 5G networks and measure live NTN network quality and coverage.
  • 5G Field Issue Replication: Discover how you can automatically analyze and convert device field logs into lab test cases to recreate detailed protocol signaling sequences or enable functional and performance testing under the same network conditions.
  • 5G Interference Mitigation: Learn how mobile network operators can prototype dynamic spectrum sharing (DSS) scenarios with high fidelity in hardware and software. Using custom channel models from real deployment scenarios, users can accurately predict network throughput. Keysight’s WaveJudge solution simplifies DSS visualization and analytics in both prototype and live networks, crucial as users explore the upper mid-band for FR3.
  • MIMO Design from FR1 to FR3: Explore advanced multiple-input, multiple-output (MIMO) signal generation and analysis from FR1 to FR3. This demo features Keysight’s multi-channel vector signal generator (VSG) portfolio, offering exceptional phase coherence, precise time base synchronization, and adjustable channel phase and delay. See how to generate MIMO signal streams, capture these signals with a real-time oscilloscope, and analyze them using Keysight’s comprehensive signal analysis software.
  • FR3 RFFE Characterization: Keysight will showcase the PNA-X Pro as a comprehensive system for FR3 RF Front End (RFFE) characterization.

Propel 6G Research
